任天堂は、ファンから愛されているゲームボーイアドバンスの名作『ワリオランド4』を2月14日にSwitch Onlineサービスへ追加する。
公式トレーラーと共に発表された本作は、Nintendo Switch Online＋エクスパンションパック加入者に対し追加料金なしで提供される。
公式紹介文によると、「強欲なワリオが今度はとんでもない財宝を求めて帰ってくる。すべての警告を無視し、莫大な富が眠ると伝えられる古代ピラミッドに果敢に侵入する私たちの型破りな英雄は、伝説がまったくの現実であることをすぐに悟る——そして生きて脱出することが彼の最大の偉業になるかもしれない」。

「プレイヤーはこの冒険で20もの広大なステージに挑み、ゴールドや宝物を集めて各ステージクリア後にボーナスコンテンツを解放する。息抜きが必要な時は、ゲーム内の楽しいミニゲームを楽しめる。」
2001年に発売され絶賛された『ワリオランド4』はIGNから9/10の評価を得た。当時のレビューでは「独創的なステージ設計は一般的なプラットフォーマーとは一線を画し、環境パズルを解いて進むという挑戦的な仕組みが光る」と記されている。
本作の追加により、サービスで遊べるゲームボーイアドバンスタイトルは24本となり、『マリオカート スーパーサーキット』『ゼルダの伝説 ふしぎのぼうし』『ポケモン不思議のダンジョン 赤の救助隊』といった名作たちに加わる。
