Young Bob, new to town and hungry, notices his neighbors, a pair of elderly residents, living in a large, well-furnished house complete with video games, sports equipment, and a fully stocked refrigerator – a stark contrast to his empty new home. He desperately needs food but is too intimidated by Granny's suspicious behavior to ask. Determined to get what he needs, Bob sets out to discover Granny's secret, suspecting a possible romance between Granny and the other neighbor, Grandpa, might explain the house's disarray. His investigation leads him to a hidden basement room, where a significant secret awaits.
