Max ha presentado un nuevo tráiler de la segunda temporada de Peacemaker, que muestra fuertes vínculos con Superman, incluyendo apariciones de Maxwell Lord, Hawkgirl y Guy Gardner en la escena inicial.

El tráiler comienza con Sean Gunn como Maxwell Lord, Nathan Fillion como Guy Gardner / Linterna Verde e Isabela Merced como Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl realizando una entrevista tensa a John Cena en su papel de Peacemaker para un equipo de superhéroes. La segunda temporada de Peacemaker se estrena el 21 de agosto, después del debut de Superman el 11 de julio, marcando la tercera entrega del DCU tras el lanzamiento de Creature Commandos el año pasado.

Bajo la dirección de James Gunn y el co-CEO Peter Safran, el DCU renovado se aleja del fracasado DC Extended Universe, que incluía películas como Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice y Man of Steel, aunque conserva algunos elementos seleccionados.

Peacemaker ejemplifica esta transición, con su primera temporada arraigada en el difunto DCEU y la segunda integrada en el nuevo DCU.

Gunn ha señalado que "muchos aspectos de la historia de Peacemaker permanecerán consistentes", aunque los detalles sobre qué elementos se trasladan del DCEU al DCU siguen sin estar claros.
