Application Description

This fun spelling app, Kiwanis Club of New Kingston (KCNK) Little Bee, helps children aged 4-9 master spelling! Sponsored by Grace Kennedy Money Services (GKMS) and Western Union (WU), it offers three engaging modes to boost spelling skills.

The app, playable offline, features 10 levels in each mode, with increasing word difficulty. Each level presents 15+ words, identical across all modes.

In-App Settings: Students personalize their profile with name, age, parish, and school, then choose their learning path:

• Learning Mode 1: Students spell words letter-by-letter, guided by audio prompts. Mistakes are easily corrected, and the word can be replayed by tapping the bee icon. Completion requires correctly spelling every word in a level. Levels must be completed sequentially.

• Learning Mode 2: Words are presented with scrambled letters. Students must unscramble and spell the word correctly. Similar to Mode 1, mistakes can be undone, words replayed, and levels revisited. Sequential level completion is required.

• Competition Mode: This mode challenges students with scrambled words and extra, distracting letters. Each word is timed, with a cumulative time for the level. 10 random words per level test speed and accuracy. The leaderboard displays level completion times.

Students can reset the game anytime. They should wait for the audio prompt before selecting each letter. Parents and teachers can screenshot the leaderboard to track progress.
