Nintendo's Surprise: An Interactive Alarm Clock and a Mysterious Switch Online Playtest

Nintendo Alarmo Alarm Clock Releases Before GTA 6 A Nintendo interactive alarm clock? It's a real thing! Besides the newly revealed Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, Nintendo has also launched a secretive Switch Online playtest.

The Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo

Free Sound Updates on the Way!

Priced at $99, the "Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo" is no ordinary alarm clock. Nintendo boasts that it "responds to your body’s movement with game sounds," creating a truly immersive wake-up experience. It features sounds from popular Nintendo franchises like Mario, Zelda, and Splatoon, with free updates adding more sounds in the future.

The Alarmo's clever design ensures you'll actually get out of bed. The alarm intensifies until you leave the bed, rewarding you with a "brief victory fanfare" once you're up and about.

Setup is simple: choose a game, select a scene, set your alarm, and let the interactive fun begin. While waving your hand quiets the alarm momentarily, prolonged slumber will only increase its intensity.

Nintendo Alarmo Alarm Clock Releases Before GTA 6Utilizing a unique "radio wave sensor," the Alarmo measures your distance and movement speed without compromising privacy. As Nintendo developer Tetsuya Akama explains, "The key feature is its ability to detect subtle movements without filming, offering better privacy than camera-based solutions. Its use of radio waves allows for operation in dark rooms and detection even with obstacles."
