The meter will likely fill before you reach the AI. Be ready to sprint once the animal flees. While AI are fast, sprinting should allow you to catch up. Their movement is erratic, so practice is key. Open fields with minimal obstacles offer the best hunting grounds.
To capture an animal, get extremely close to initiate a bite. Once you've secured your prey, drop and eat it. Repeat this cycle until satisfied.
