Atomfall: How to Obtain Signal Redirector

In the post-apocalyptic world of *Atomfall*, certain items can significantly enhance your survival and gameplay. One such critical item is the Signal Redirector, which is not easy to obtain but can be a game-changer. If you're struggling to locate it, this guide will walk you through the process of acquiring the Signal Redirector.

Where to Find the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector is a unique tool in *Atomfall* that you can't simply buy from a trader or find on a random corpse like the Metal Detector. Instead, it's located in a very specific place connected to one of the game's main characters, Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist.

To begin your quest, you'll first need to pick up a lead from Wyndham Village about Dr. Garrow's whereabouts. This will lead you on a mission to rescue her from the Protocol prison camp deep within Skethermoor.

Reaching the prison camp is a challenge in itself, as it's heavily guarded by Protocol soldiers. To ease your infiltration, consider meeting Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village. By helping him with tasks like recovering stolen items, you can gain favor with Protocol, at least temporarily.

Once prepared, head to the Protocol prison camp on the southernmost border of Skethermoor. The entrance to the underground prison is at the end of the southernmost road, marked by a large green door.

The prison is structured over multiple levels, and you'll need to navigate through them, either avoiding or neutralizing guards and robots. Remember, B.A.R.D robots can be disabled to obtain their **Atomic Batteries**, which are crucial for The Interchange.

Continue your descent until you reach the lowest level, past the dig site area. Here, you'll find Dr. Garrow locked in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you'll need the Signal Redirector, which is located in a nearby Storage room on a shelf. Upon retrieving it, you'll unlock the **‘Reverse the Polarity’ trophy/achievement**.

How to Use the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector, crafted by Dr. Garrow, serves as a hacking tool that reroutes power within yellow junction boxes to different sources. This functionality can disable security systems and unlock storage rooms, among other uses.

Similar to the Metal Detector, the Signal Redirector will alert you with an icon at the bottom of your screen when you're near a hackable junction box. Follow the direction indicated by the device's needle, and once close enough, the junction box will be highlighted for interaction.

To hack, simply press the 'Hack' button to reroute the power. If needed, you can reverse the hack by interacting with the junction box again.

Using the Signal Redirector will help you free Dr. Garrow from her cell and continue her storyline, should you choose to aid her escape.
