Uncover a Hidden Romance in Baldur's Gate 3: Naoise Nallinto
Beyond the well-known romance options in Baldur's Gate 3 lies a secret encounter with Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress. This fleeting romance is easily missed, occurring during a pivotal moment in the game. This guide details how to find and romance Naoise.
Locating Naoise Nallinto
Reach Act III: Progress to the early stages of Act III. You'll pass through Wyrm's Crossing on your way to Baldur's Gate. Visit Sharess' Caress, a brothel east of the bridge leading into Baldur's Gate. If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, use the South Span fast-travel point.
Find the Nymph's Grotto: On the second floor, locate a door with a green light and ivy. It's locked, requiring a lockpick skill check of 10 or higher to open.
Romancing Naoise Nallinto
Interact with Naoise: Inside, you'll find Naoise with Jara. Jara's reaction to your presence will trigger a dialogue. Choose options that deflect accusations, such as "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."
Defeat Jara: Jara transforms into a Mindflayer. Defeat her to proceed.
Engage Naoise: Naoise reveals her attraction to Mindflayers. Opt for responses that don't judge her, such as "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset." A successful Insight check will reveal her receptiveness to romance.
Initiate the Romance: Choose dialogue options that express interest, such as "What did you have in mind?" and "Close your eyes and listen."
The Mental Encounter: The romance unfolds mentally. Naoise asks you to choose what you "will be." Options include Revered, Contented, Powerful, Rich, or ending the encounter. Your choice influences the scene.
Outcome: This romance is unique and one-time only. Upon completion, Naoise will offer no further interaction. The "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point is awarded, and you receive the Rapture boon (a passive 1d6 bonus to most ability checks). Note: This encounter doesn't appear to affect existing relationships with other characters.
