Initially anticipated for December 24th, the event has been slightly shifted, offering both double XP and double weapon XP. While past double XP events have experienced minor hiccups, these issues have been resolved, promising a smoother experience this time around.
This double XP boost arrives alongside other festive in-game events, including the Archie's Festival Frenzy, the return of the popular Stakeout 24/7 playlist, and a holiday-themed Nuketown map. A new Zombies map also recently launched, ensuring plenty of holiday gaming options.
Looking beyond the holidays, Treyarch plans to continue supporting Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 throughout 2025 with seasonal updates. These updates will introduce new cosmetics, maps, weapons, game modes, and more, keeping the game fresh until the release of the next Call of Duty title.
