Monster Hunter Wilds is set to roll out its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a clear warning against cheating, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This stern warning highlights Capcom's dedication to preserving the integrity of the game.
Moreover, Capcom cautioned that players who join multiplayer hunts with cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated and their "right to rewards" revoked for the entire party. They advised, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," and encouraged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants. Some of these will be distributed to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. Given the potential impact on rewards and completion times, it's understandable why Capcom is taking a firm stance against cheating and suspicious behavior.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, starting with Title Update 1. To access these quests, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Make sure to prioritize this once Title Update 1 launches tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
