January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack
The gacha game market continues to thrive, with January 2025 revenue figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a dramatic surge in revenue, more than doubling its December 2024 earnings to a staggering $99.4 million (compared to $45.6 million).

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokemon TCG secured second place with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, rounded out the top three, generating $55.2 million.
Other notable performers showed varying degrees of success. Honkai Star Rail experienced a dip in revenue, earning $50.8 million, while Zenless Zone Zero saw a significant decrease, with earnings halved from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's important to note that this ranking considers only mobile platform revenue. Furthermore, the data includes a methodology clarification: "Due to the absence of Google Play in China, Android revenue estimates for China are derived using a multiplier based on iOS revenue within the country."
