If you're a Pokémon GO enthusiast, you're in for a treat with the upcoming events, including the exciting Catch Mastery event. The game is already buzzing with the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery events, and the Catch Mastery event is a thrilling part of the latter.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. You'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and keep your eyes peeled for their Shiny versions.
Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. The event sweetens the deal with XP bonuses, doubling your XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.
Additionally, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-types. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, leading to a total of 40 Archen encounters.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon
Don't miss the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol will gain a new Charged Attack, Brutal Swing, which will be permanently available after the event starts. This move packs a punch with 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. You can also snag up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your total to six for the day.
