Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, the much-anticipated spin-off of the beloved original, is set to delight fans with its release on iOS and Android on April 24th. Pre-registration is now open, offering players a chance to dive into this enchanting new world ahead of time. Here at Pocket Gamer, the original Cats & Soup has been a favorite around our office, and this new installment promises to bring even more joy to cat lovers and puzzle enthusiasts alike.
So, what's new in Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe? This game elevates the original with upgraded 2.5D graphics and introduces a wider array of cats for you to encounter and interact with. The core gameplay remains centered on collecting adorable felines, but it's been enriched with classic merging mechanics, engaging minigames, and the ability to decorate your own home. This spin-off seems to be steering away from the tycoon elements of its predecessor, embracing a more interactive and hands-on approach that should appeal to players looking for a fresh twist on the formula.
It's still up in the air whether developer Hidea sees Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe as a true spin-off or a more comprehensive sequel. What's clear, however, is that it pushes the boundaries of the series with enhanced graphics and a broader range of content, all while maintaining the heart of the original game—collecting and caring for charming cats.
If you're eager for a new take on the Cats & Soup universe but want to stay within your comfort zone, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe offers a perfect blend of familiar mechanics and exciting new gameplay elements. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the series, this game promises a delightful experience filled with fun and innovative features.
