Classic JRPG Chrono Trigger is marking a significant milestone, celebrating its 30th anniversary since its original release on the Super Famicom in 1995. Square Enix is thrilled to announce a series of events and projects to honor this timeless masterpiece that continues to captivate gamers across generations.
The iconic JRPG, Chrono Trigger, crafted by industry legends Yuji Horii (Dragon Quest), Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball), and Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy), is celebrating three decades of adventure and storytelling. Square Enix Japan took to its official X (Twitter) account to share the excitement, describing Chrono Trigger as a "masterpiece that transcends generations."
To celebrate this monumental anniversary and show appreciation to the fans, Square Enix has announced an array of projects planned for the upcoming year. These initiatives promise to extend beyond the traditional boundaries of the game itself, though specific details remain under wraps. Fans are encouraged to follow the official Square Enix and ChronoTriggerPR X (Twitter) accounts for the latest updates and announcements.
In addition to the upcoming projects, fans have an immediate reason to rejoice. A special live stream event, the Chrono Trigger Music Special Live Stream, is scheduled for March 14th, running from 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET until March 15th at 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET. This event, hosted on the Square Enix Music YouTube Channel, will feature the enchanting soundtracks that have become synonymous with the Chrono Trigger experience.
