Marvel Studios has unveiled the first trailer for the highly anticipated Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, featuring the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, the iconic vigilante from the Netflix series. Scheduled for release on March 4, the series promises the return of beloved characters such as Vincent D'Onofrio reprising his role as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal returning as Frank Castle, better known as the Punisher.
The trailer showcases a thrilling reunion of these main characters, set against a backdrop of intense, bone-crunching action sequences as Daredevil battles the criminal underworld in New York City's Hell's Kitchen. A unique twist in the plot sees Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk forming an unlikely alliance to confront a new and dangerous threat: the artistically inclined serial killer known as Muse. The trailer gives fans a chilling glimpse of Muse, sporting his signature bleeding eye white mask, adding a layer of menace to the series.
Muse, a relatively new addition to Daredevil's rogues gallery, was introduced by Charles Soule and Ron Garney in 2016's Daredevil #11. This character's inclusion in the series brings a fresh challenge to our hero.
Additionally, the trailer teases the return of Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, another formidable villain from Daredevil's world. Bethel, who previously portrayed Bullseye (aka Benjamin Poindexter) in Season 3 of the Netflix series, appeared in 11 of the 13 episodes. That season not only introduced Bullseye to the Netflix Marvel Cinematic Universe but also reimagined the character with a compelling and tragic backstory, enriching his narrative since his initial debut in 1976's Daredevil #131. Fans are eager to see how his story will evolve in Daredevil: Born Again.
