The much-anticipated presentation for *Death Stranding 2: On the Beach* began with an impressive ten-minute trailer, culminating in the announcement of the game's official release date. Hideo Kojima's latest masterpiece is slated to hit the shelves on June 26, 2025, and will be available exclusively on the PS5.
In addition to the release date, the developers revealed that pre-orders will commence next Monday, March 17. Gamers can choose from three editions: the standard digital edition priced at $70, the expanded edition at $80, and a collector's physical edition for $230, catering to different levels of fandom and investment.
Describing the trailer as stunning barely scratches the surface of its visual splendor. The choice of soundtrack, featuring a track by Woodkid, perfectly complements the game's atmosphere, adding an extra layer of immersion.
As the trailer played, the live chat buzzed with thousands of viewers drawing parallels to "Rumbling" from *Attack on Titan* and Snake from *Metal Gear Solid*. The footage teased new characters and hinted at epic action sequences, leaving fans eager for more. The intriguing tagline, "We Shouldn't Have Connected," only adds to the mystery, promising answers when the game launches this summer.
