This animated series, a collaboration between Castlevania showrunner Adi Shankar and the acclaimed Legend of Korra studio, Studio Mir, was first announced back in 2018. The first season will consist of eight episodes.
While plot specifics remain shrouded in secrecy, the series appears to center around Dante, as seen in the first three Devil May Cry games, rather than his Devil May Cry 5 iteration. However, any direct connections to the game’s storyline are yet to be confirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who is known for voicing Nero in the video game series.
The last main installment in the Devil May Cry franchise, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the series after a period of relative inactivity following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. A critically acclaimed action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our full review here.
