In our review of Devil May Cry Season 1, we noted some of its shortcomings, such as the use of CG, humor that missed the mark, and characters that didn\\'t always surprise. However, the series shines thanks to the creative direction of Adi Shankar and the work of Studio Mir. We described it as \\\"a fun video-game adaptation that doubles as a deranged, bonkers, and bold homage to and indictment of \\'00s Americana.\\\" The animation quality was highlighted as some of the best of the year, and the epic finale set the stage perfectly for an even more thrilling second season.
The announcement of Season 2 might not come as a shock to those who follow the series closely. Adi Shankar has previously hinted at a \\\"multi-season arc\\\" for Devil May Cry. For those eager for more insights, don\\'t miss our conversation with Shankar from IGN Fan Fest 2025, where he discusses how the anime aims to bring the best of the series to Netflix.
