One of the exciting ways to explore *Avowed* is by following the many treasure maps scattered throughout the game, leading you to hidden treasures and valuable items. In the initial area of Dawnshore, you can obtain Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map. Here's how you can find it and uncover the treasure.

To locate the treasure map, head to the lighthouse in the western part of Calviger's Landing. Once you arrive in The Living Lands, navigate to the southern part of the map to find this region, and then make your way west. Climb the lighthouse using the surrounding ledges and scaffolding, being cautious as you navigate around the structure's exterior. You'll reach the top where Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map awaits.

With the treasure map in hand, your next step is to find the actual loot. Descend from the lighthouse and proceed to the nearby river. Follow the water northward until you reach a broken bridge, located just northeast of the Old Pargrun Wall and the Western Pargrun Wall Beacon fast travel point. Continue to the southern end of the structure and prepare to enter the river bed. Swim towards the west to find an opening leading into a cave. Once inside and back on solid ground, you'll discover a chest containing the treasure: the unique Wind and Wave shield.

The Wind and Wave shield enhances your gameplay by offering two significant buffs. Equipping it grants a 10% boost to movement speed and a 20% resistance to Frost Accumulation. Its Superb Quality makes it superior to other shields found in Dawnshore's starting area. With the right materials, such as Glasswood Branches and Adra Ban, you can even upgrade it to Legendary quality, although this requires rare resources.
