Epic Games Offers Happy Game for Free This Week

May 23,2025 Author: David

The Epic Games Store for mobile has unveiled its free release of the week, and this time it's the chilling "Happy Game" from developer Amanita Design. Don't let the name fool you; this is far from a joyful experience, but it's yours to download and keep at no cost.

In "Happy Game," you step into the shoes of a young boy who drifts into sleep only to awaken in a surreal and gory nightmare world. Amanita Design, renowned for their quirky puzzlers like Chuchel, flips the script here, creating an experience that's pure nightmare fuel. You'll navigate through three distinct nightmares, tackling a series of bizarre and unsettling puzzles. The seemingly sweet environments mask deeply disturbing elements, and the eerie soundtrack by the Czech band DVA ensures the chills don't stop even when you're not playing.

ytHappy happy joy joyI was genuinely taken aback to learn that Amanita Design, a studio I mainly associated with the family-friendly Chuchel, created "Happy Game." It's a stark departure from their usual fare.

If you're unsure about diving into "Happy Game," consider checking out our review from 2023. Will awarded it a commendable four stars, highlighting its gripping atmosphere and effective horror elements.

Even if "Happy Game" doesn't catch your interest, there's a plethora of new mobile games to explore from the past week. Be sure to browse our curated list of the top five new mobile games, updated every Thursday, covering genres from puzzles to action-packed adventures.
