Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
With Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's PC release just two weeks away, Square Enix has detailed updated system requirements, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. The game leverages DLSS, Shader Model 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate.
Square Enix strongly recommends a high-end graphics card boasting 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay. This recommendation comes alongside the previously announced PS5 Pro enhancement patch, which boosted the game's visuals on Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Rebirth will not receive any DLC post-launch, with Square Enix focusing on Part 3 of the Remake project.
While initial PC spec suggestions were released earlier, Square Enix has clarified that 12-16GB of VRAM is crucial for 4K resolutions. The minimum and recommended specs remain largely unchanged, requiring a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Processor recommendations include AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i7-8700 and above. Graphics card requirements start at Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600, with higher-end cards recommended for higher settings. Note that Shader Model 6.6 and DirectX 12 Ultimate support are mandatory.
