The Animal Festival, like other seasonal events, occurs annually on the 10th day of Winter. Don't worry if you miss it one year; you'll have another chance next year. This gives you plenty of time to prepare your animals for their big moment!

Winning the Animal Festival in Fields of Mistria

The main event lets you enter up to two animals: one small (chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc.) and one large (cows, alpacas, sheep, etc.). Remember, your animals must be fully grown adults to participate.

Entering the Contest

Head to the festival grounds and speak to Josephine. She'll guide you to the entry booths. She'll also give you some helpful tips:

• Higher Hearts = Higher Score: Pet, feed, and let your animals outside on sunny days to increase their hearts and boost your score.
• Rare Coats = Rare Wins: Animals with unique coat colors (pink, blue, etc.) have a higher chance of scoring well.

Talk to Terithia (left booth) to enter large animals and Landen (right booth) for small animals. Once you've made your selections, tell Josephine you're ready for judging.

Animal Festival Prizes

A cutscene will announce the winners for both small and large animal categories. Winning against Hayden's Henrietta (chicken) and Sunshine (cow) will earn you the top prize in each category. Your rewards depend on your placement. Keep in mind that winning in your first year might be challenging, requiring significant time invested in animal care and farm upgrades to unlock rare animals and unique coat colors.
