FM2025 Cancelled: All Platforms Affected

Mar 13,2025 Author: Gabriel

Football Manager 2025, the highly anticipated sporting simulator, has been cancelled across all platforms, including its planned mobile release on Netflix Games. This follows multiple release date postponements.

Sports Interactive, the developer, announced the cancellation, citing challenges in meeting their internal standards for technical quality. They've stated their focus will now shift to the next installment in the franchise.

This news will undoubtedly disappoint fans, particularly given the previously announced Netflix Games mobile release, which promised to introduce the series to a wider audience. The future of Football Manager on Netflix Games remains uncertain.

A Difficult Decision

The late cancellation, initially slated for March, is understandably frustrating for many fans, especially given the lack of promised updates to Football Manager 24 to bridge the gap.

However, it's also commendable that Sports Interactive prioritized quality over a rushed, subpar release. This decision, while disappointing, suggests a commitment to delivering a superior product in the future. Hopefully, Football Manager 26 will see a return to Netflix Games.

In the meantime, explore our weekly feature highlighting the top five new mobile games! We've got you covered until the next Football Manager installment arrives.
