Players will encounter a variety of characters across the Fortnite Battle Royale island, each contributing unique elements to the gameplay. NPCs in Fortnite fall into two categories: friendly characters offering valuable services and hostile ones that attack on sight. While friendly NPCs may seem more approachable, engaging with hostile characters can also be key to securing a Victory Royale.

This guide details the locations of all non-playable characters in the Chapter 6 Season 1 map, helping players find both allies and adversaries to enhance their strategy.

Updated on December 24, 2024, by Ashely Claudino: This guide now includes NPCs introduced to the Fortnite Battle Royale map during the 2024 Winterfest event.

Hostile NPCs and Bosses in Fortnite

The island also hosts hostile NPCs, but avoiding them isn’t always the best strategy, as defeating them can yield valuable rewards that significantly impact the match.

Medallion Boss Locations in Fortnite

Upon starting a match, markers appear on the map indicating undefeated Medallion Bosses. Two medallions are available, each granting a unique ability to its holder.

Shogun X

Shogun X is a roaming boss without a fixed spawn point, but his location is marked on players’ maps for easy tracking.

Defeating Shogun X in his initial phase grants the Mythic Sentinel Pump Shotgun. To secure his Medallion, Mythic Fire Oni Mask, and Mythic Typhoon Blade, players must visit the floating island and fully eliminate him. The Medallion provides infinite stamina and an invisibility cloak while sprinting.

Night Rose

Located at Demon's Dojo, Night Rose can be defeated by targeting the eyes of her Oni Mask while dodging attacks. Upon defeat, she drops a Medallion, a Mythic Veiled Precision SMG, and a Mythic Void Oni Mask. Her Medallion enables automatic weapon reloading for the player.

Forecast Tower Guard Locations in Fortnite

The Fortnite map features four Forecast Towers:

  • East of Burd
  • Northwest of Shining Span
  • Southwest of Lost Lake
  • North of Brutal Boxes

Only two spawn per match. Before the second Storm Circle closes, three hostile NPCs appear near the Forecast Towers.

Eliminating them grants the mini-boss’s Epic-rarity Holo Twister Assault Rifle or Fury Assault Rifle and a Keycard, which allows players to secure the forecast and reveal the next Storm Circle’s location early.

Demon Warrior Locations in Fortnite

Portals across the map allow Demon Warriors to enter the Battle Royale island. These locations feature two weaker guards and a mini-boss.

Defeating a Demon Warrior yields a boon, providing a beneficial buff for the remainder of the match. Demon Warriors can be found at:

  • Lost Lake
  • East of Shining Span
  • Southeast of Twinkle Terrace
