But beyond its lengthy name, this title offers something genuinely captivating that has left me intrigued. It’s a fantasy adventure featuring knights sworn to protect none other than Hello Kitty herself. Yes, really.

Ateam Entertainment and Sanrio are co-developing this upcoming smartphone adventure, which serves as part of Sanrio’s broader Fragariamemories multimedia project. It delivers a full-blown chivalric fantasy complete with music, story, and heroic flair—elements I certainly didn’t expect from the studio behind pastel rabbits and cute penguins.

The premise? The land of Fragaria faces threats from mysterious beings known as Seeds. To safeguard the Lords of three continents—Red, Blue, and Noir—the Knights of Fragaria rise to defend their world. Leading this charge is Hallritt, responding to the call of Lord Hello Kitty herself. It’s noble and dramatic, and I won’t lie: it’s delightfully absurd with Hello Kitty serving as a lord.

There are 18 knights in total, divided into three units called Bouquets, each representing their continent’s color. Sanrio describes the game as “an authentic fantasy story for a new generation,” suggesting we’re in for more than just cute mascots in shiny armor—though let’s be honest, that visual appeal is half the charm.

It also marks a bold step for Sanrio, which has spent decades perfecting adorable branding. Now they’re venturing into knights, quests, and moral codes. If that isn’t the ultimate crossover between sweet and serious, nothing else is.
