Get ready for a nostalgic journey as Zynga brings the iconic 1985 film "Back to the Future" to Custom Street Racer 2, also known as CSR2, in celebration of its 40th anniversary. This exciting crossover introduces the legendary DeLorean Time Machine from the first film into the game, offering players the chance to collect and race this iconic vehicle, albeit without any performance boosts or special abilities.
Starting today, you can dive into a full Back to the Future-themed experience within CSR2. Beyond just the DeLorean, the game features a custom in-game UI inspired by the movie, a new narrative, and a series of events to keep you engaged. There are three flash events specifically dedicated to the Time Machine, along with a community competition that promises to add a competitive edge to your gameplay.
Zynga has also promised a year-long celebration with additional themed events, ensuring that this crossover is more than just a fleeting moment. Right now, you can participate in quizzes on their social media platforms for a chance to win goodies. Don't miss out—check them out here.
Curious about what's in store? Take a peek at the promotional video below to see how the past meets the future in CSR2.
While CSR2 won't be sending you back to 1955 like in the movie or games like Reverse:1999, this collaboration with Back to the Future is still a unique and thrilling experience. The legendary gull-winged DeLorean from the film is now fully drivable in-game, adding an exciting element to your racing adventures.
Sam Cooper, Zynga's Vice President of Games, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, noting that the Time Machine is one of the most recognizable and beloved picture cars in history. He expressed excitement about allowing players to virtually race this iconic vehicle while celebrating the movie's milestone anniversary.
What are your thoughts on this crossover? Are you eager to drive the DeLorean? You can download Custom Street Racer 2 from the Google Play Store to experience this new addition to the game.
