Geoff Keighley, host and producer of Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL), has officially confirmed the unveiling of brand-new game announcements alongside updates on highly anticipated titles and previously revealed projects. This exciting news comes as anticipation builds for the Gamescom 2024 kickoff event.
While Gamescom has already hinted at appearances from notable games including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, MARVEL Rivals, Dune Awakening, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the show promises to surprise attendees with previously unannounced titles. The Gamescom 2024 ONL livestream will be broadcast across official channels on August 20 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET.
Confirmed highlights include the first-ever gameplay showcase of Don’t Nod’s interactive adventure, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and a fresh trailer for Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Furthermore, THQ Nordic will present a new game from Tarsier Studios, the creators behind the critically acclaimed Little Nightmares series.
Call of Duty fans are in for a treat, with a live, first-look campaign playthrough of Black Ops 6 confirmed by Keighley. It's also worth noting that while Nintendo will be absent from Gamescom 2024, The Pokémon Company will be a featured highlight of the event.
