The highly acclaimed dungeon crawler *Hades* is set to receive a sequel from Supergiant Games, with *Hades II* entering early access in 2024. Here’s an overview of when we can expect the full release of *Hades II* and what the developers have hinted about the game's launch.

*Hades II* entered early access for PC users on May 6, 2024, via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This was followed by an early access launch for macOS users on October 16, 2024, which included a significant content update. The latest update for early access players was on February 19, 2025. Console players will not gain access until the full launch. Supergiant Games plans to use feedback from the extended early access period to refine the game before its full release.

Considering the feedback from the February 2025 update, a full launch for *Hades II* is projected for Q2 2025, spanning April to June. An April release seems unlikely as it may not provide Supergiant Games with sufficient time to incorporate feedback. A May 2025 release, marking a year since the early access began, appears more feasible for integrating changes based on player input.

Even in its early access stage, *Hades II* is demonstrating that it could live up to the high expectations set by the original game. A full release is anticipated sometime in 2025, depending on the extent of development and polishing Supergiant Games plans. An official announcement regarding *Hades II*’s release date is expected soon.

Development on *Hades II* began in early 2021, with most of the original game’s team and voice cast returning. The developers have been relatively quiet about the full release date, preferring to let players experience the game’s progress through early access. The last significant media engagement was around the technical test and initial early access launch in April and May 2024, after which the focus shifted back to development rather than promotion.

In discussions with outlets like Game Informer in May 2024, Supergiant Games expressed their intention to maintain the core elements that made the first game acclaimed while introducing new characters and features, including the protagonist Melinoë, to keep the experience fresh and exciting. Fans are eagerly awaiting the full release of *Hades II*, anticipating a return to the engaging dungeon-crawling that made the original game a massive success.
