- Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan recently passed away after nearly four decades in the ring
- The iconic superstar also made numerous appearances in mobile gaming throughout his career
- While his legacy remains controversial, his impact on sports entertainment is undeniable
With the passing of Terry Bollea (better known as Hulk Hogan), the wrestling world is reflecting on his complex legacy. Was he a flawed man but phenomenal performer? Or has his legend been exaggerated over time? Regardless of perspective, Hogan's influence transformed professional wrestling forever.
The Hulkster remained a dominant force in wrestling for nearly forty years. His presence extended into mobile gaming as well, as Bollea frequently sought new platforms to promote his iconic persona.

As our tribute, we're looking back at Hogan's memorable appearances in mobile wrestling games throughout his legendary career.
Hulkamania Wrestling
During the late 2000s, Hogan found himself at a career crossroads. After peaking in the 1990s with WCW's NWO faction (which rejuvenated his fading career), he transitioned more toward reality television than wrestling.
His surprise collaboration with Gameloft resulted in Hulkamania Wrestling - an isometric brawler featuring Hogan against wrestlers like Rey Mysterio and The Undertaker. While typical Hogan fare (dominating younger talent), Gameloft delivered a surprisingly enjoyable wrestling experience, especially considering Java mobile platform limitations.
TNA Wrestling iMPACT!
After WCW folded in 2001, wrestling lacked credible competition for WWE. Numerous promotions tried, including TNA where Hogan joined in 2009.

The mobile version of TNA iMPACT featured Hogan alongside stars like Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy. Our original review noted: "This isn't the '80s Hulkster - just a bald man with questionable facial hair." Though the game itself was surprisingly solid, thanks largely to TNA's talented roster compensating for Hogan's aging act.
Crazy Taxi: City Rush
By 2014, Hogan had transitioned into wrestling's elder statesman role. His signature red-and-yellow colors appeared in Crazy Taxi: City Rush as a playable character driving a custom vehicle.

The game even hosted Hulkamania-themed events with real-world memorabilia giveaways, showing Hogan's enduring promotional appeal.
WWE Immortals
WWE Immortals reimagined wrestlers as mythological warriors, with Hogan reportedly set to join the roster alongside Macho Man. Unfortunately, his 2015 controversies prevented this iteration from reaching fans.

WWE Champions & WWE Mayhem
After returning to WWE's good graces in 2018, Hogan became a mobile gaming staple again. He appears in WWE Champions and even starred in WWE Mayhem's trailer, alternating between his classic red/yellow look and NWO black/white attire.

Regardless of personal controversies, Hogan's brand-building and mainstream crossover success paved the way for modern wrestling superstars. While others may surpass him in various metrics, his impact on sports entertainment remains unparalleled.
