In *Avowed*, you can obtain Hylea's Talon in several ways: purchasing it from merchants, discovering it in the wild, breaking down equipment, crafting it, and downgrading other materials.
The quickest method is to visit Lluisa Melcer at the Farmer's Market and Abritt Porrya in Piaza Mez Vidarro in Emerald Stair. Each merchant sells up to 5 Hylea's Talons for 450 coins apiece. You'll also find unique weapons and armor that yield additional Hylea's Talons when broken down at your party camp's workbench.
Similar to finding Paradisan Ladder in Dawnshore, Hylea's Talon can be found as a plant throughout Emerald Stair. Look for the corresponding plant icon on your mini-map. While exploring for this material, you'll likely discover other valuable herbs as well. Simply playing through the Emerald Stair missions will yield a fair amount if you explore thoroughly.
If you have an excess of Paradisan Ladder, you can craft one Hylea's Talon using four units at your party camp workbench. Alternatively, you can downgrade Admeth's Wyrt into Hylea's Talon using the "Downgrade" option in the workbench's "Upgrade Materials" menu.
