NieR: Automata resource management can be tricky. While some materials are plentiful, upgrading numerous weapons requires significant quantities, even of common resources. Dented Plates, a frequently needed upgrade component, are no exception. Fortunately, efficient farming methods exist.
Optimal Dented Plate Farming Locations in NieR: Automata
Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:
- Small Biped (all variants)
- Small Flyer (all variants)
- Small Sphere (all variants)
These basic enemies are ubiquitous throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters isn't efficient. The most effective farming spot is the arena where you first confront Adam.
The Adam Arena Farming Method:
Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point. Proceed deeper into the ruins and descend to the pit. Here, machines continuously respawn, primarily Small Bipeds. While their level might be lower depending on your game progress, their Dented Plate drop rate is surprisingly good. This location also yields Titanium Alloy.
Alternative Farming Locations:
If you prefer varied locations, the Forest Kingdom offers numerous groups of spear-wielding Bipeds. These groups usually drop at least one Dented Plate. Exploring the forest also provides opportunities to gather Beast Hide. Note that higher-level Bipeds have increased Dented Plate drop rates, so progressing the story increases your chances.
Improving Drop Rates:
Equipping drop-rate boosting plug-in chips significantly enhances your yield. Remember to avoid death, as lost chips are permanent.
