After weeks of player inquiries, the development team behind Infinity Nikki has finally addressed the rocky rollout of Version 1.5. Many players felt the update was incomplete, and the team has now admitted they were not fully prepared for the launch. As a result, the release of Version 1.6 has been postponed.
When Is the Update Releasing?
Originally scheduled for June 4th, Version 1.6 will now be released on June 12th. The delay means that the current Bubble Season and all its associated events, including Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties?, will continue until the new release date. Stores such as Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will also remain open until then. Additionally, weekly tasks like Starlit Pursuit, initially slated for May 20th, will now be part of Version 1.6.
The developers have issued an apology, citing struggles with performance across various platforms, including PlayStation. They are currently refining gameplay systems and have assured players that missing storylines, such as Threads of Reunion, have not been abandoned but merely delayed.
Apart from the Version 1.6 Delays, What’s Up with Infinity Nikki?
Recently, Infinity Nikki has been plagued with bugs, broken quests, and co-op malfunctions. To mitigate the situation, the developers are offering daily compensation of 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal from June 5th to June 12th, which players must claim by logging in daily.
Some community members view this as a desperate attempt to improve engagement metrics following their recent missteps. Additionally, players have expressed disappointment over the timing of the apology, which was quickly followed by promotional banners for new outfits.
