In an exciting revelation for fans of the Jurassic franchise, David Koepp, the screenwriter behind the iconic 1993 Jurassic Park and the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth, has confirmed the inclusion of a long-awaited sequence from the original Jurassic Park novel. Speaking to Variety, Koepp shared that he revisited Michael Crichton's novels to refresh his inspiration for Jurassic World Rebirth, as there is no new novel to serve as a direct source for this sequel.
Koepp admitted to incorporating elements from the novels into the new film, specifically highlighting a sequence from the first Jurassic Park book that was originally intended for the 1993 movie but ultimately did not make the cut due to time constraints. "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," Koepp explained. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"
While Koepp kept the specifics of this sequence under wraps, the news has sparked considerable speculation among fans. Various scenes from the novel have been suggested as potential candidates for this long-awaited addition to the cinematic universe.
