Embarking on Naoe's personal journey in *Assassin's Creed Shadows* involves delving into her past through the quest titled "Before the Fall." This quest requires you to complete Kuji-kiri, a series of tasks that help Naoe heal her non-physical wounds by reliving her memories. To achieve this, you must visit four distinct locations and engage in a unique mini-game at each spot.
Assassin's Creed Shadows Kuji-kiri Locations
Kuji-kiri #1
Your journey begins right in the Hideout area on the east side of the map, where you'll find the first Kuji-kiri location at a serene pond. This initial spot sets the stage for Naoe's introspective journey.
Kuji-kiri #2
Next, head south of the Hideout to find the second location. It's nestled east of Tennoji Pagoda, and north of both Makinoodera Lookout and Makinooedera Temple. This area offers a deeper look into Naoe's past.
Kuji-kiri #3
The third Kuji-kiri awaits at Rolling Glen, along the road slightly northeast of Tennoji Pagoda in Osaka. Exploring this location will further unravel Naoe's memories and provide insight into her character.
Kuji-kiri #4
The final Kuji-kiri is situated far west in the Izumi Settsu region. From Amagasaki Tenshu, travel west until you reach a spot just southeast of Nakayama Peak. This last visit will complete Naoe's healing journey.
How to Complete Kuji-kiri
At each of these locations, you'll encounter a mini-game that requires you to press four buttons in a specific rhythm. Initially, the button prompts will appear on-screen, but they will gradually fade away, challenging you to master the rhythm. Successfully completing this mini-game at each location will trigger a revisit to one of Naoe's memories, leading to a short playable segment. Each completed memory rewards you with a Knowledge Point, enriching Naoe's journey and your understanding of her story.
