Fans of the souls-like action RPG *Lies of P* have a thrilling prequel to look forward to. Announced during Sony's State of Play 2025 broadcast, the *Lies of P: Overture* DLC expansion is set to launch in the summer of 2025 across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. You can watch the gameplay trailer below.
*Lies of P*, which reimagines the classic tale of Pinocchio with Bloodborne-style gameplay, received high praise upon its release. IGN's review awarded it an 8/10, commending its execution within the soulslike genre: "Lies of P might not branch out particularly far from its soulslike inspiration, but it plays the part extremely well."
*Lies of P: Overture* takes players "back to the beginning of the Puppet Frenzy," exploring the events leading up to the main game. *Lies of P* publisher Neowiz had already teased the game’s first DLC and confirmed plans to release a sequel. *Lies of P* sold one million copies in less than a month after it launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and Mac via the Mac App Store on September 18, 2023.
