The much-anticipated official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has finally been released, offering fans an in-depth look at the new cast. Maia Kealoha steps into the iconic role of Lilo, previously played by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated classic. The trailer showcases Kealoha's heartfelt portrayal, giving audiences a sense of the character's depth and charm.
Alongside Kealoha, Courtney B. Vance brings to life the serious yet lovable Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen adds his unique touch to Pleakley. Notably, the trailer introduces a fresh twist where Jumba and Pleakley, portrayed by Zach Galifianakis and Magnussen respectively, are seen disguised as humans on Earth, although Pleakley's alien form makes a brief appearance.
The trailer also recreates several iconic scenes from the original film, including Stitch's dramatic arrival as a falling star, his transformation to resemble a dog at the shelter, and the poignant moment when Lilo declares, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
Mark your calendars as *Lilo & Stitch* is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025. This release will closely follow the live-action adaptation of *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, scheduled for March 21, 2025, continuing Disney's tradition of bringing beloved animated classics to life in new ways.
