Kabam is rolling out exciting updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, ushering in the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and debuting a new character type called Eidols. This month also highlights the powerful women of the game, giving players a voice in choosing which Champion will be reworked in 2025.
Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest Champions joining The Contest, each bringing unique abilities and a thrilling storyline. You can recruit Jean Grey starting March 13th, with Bastion following on March 27th. Before their arrival, dive into the Dark Phoenix Saga, which begins on March 3rd, featuring Jean Grey and the X-Men battling against dangerous variants in a new quest.
The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions continues to grow with the addition of more Eidols, furthering the Founders storyline. The first Eidol, Isophyne, was introduced in December 2024, and throughout 2025, three more Eidols will be unveiled, each with a unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, will debut on March 5th and be available until June 4th.
Lumatrix, designed by The Founders, is a master infiltrator with abilities in spying, sabotage, and assassination, executed with unmatched precision. Made from ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix can manipulate light to dazzling effect, yet beneath its radiant exterior lies a lethal weapon designed to eliminate threats while remaining undetected.
