Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide

Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with a rank system. This guide explains the competitive rank reset mechanics.

Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics

At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I will result in a starting rank of Gold II in the next season. If your rank is Bronze III (the lowest tier), you'll remain at Bronze III after the reset.

Rank Reset Timing

The competitive rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. The duration of each season is expected to be approximately three months, significantly longer than Season 0.

All Competitive Ranks

Marvel Rivals Rank Tiers

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Players earn points to progress through the ranks. Each 100 points earned advances the player to the next tier. The ranks are:

  • Bronze (III-I)
  • Silver (III-I)
  • Gold (III-I)
  • Platinum (III-I)
  • Diamond (III-I)
  • Grandmaster (III-I)
  • Eternity
  • One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)

Even after reaching Grandmaster I, players can continue earning points to achieve Eternity and One Above All ranks. One Above All requires placement within the top 500 players on the leaderboard.

Season Length

Following the shorter Season 0, subsequent seasons are anticipated to last around three months. New seasons will introduce fresh content, including new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps. The extended season length provides more time to climb the ranks.
