Captain America: Brave New World has arrived, prompting another look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe's impressive 35-film collection. But which MCU film reigns supreme in your heart? Do you cherish the early origin stories like Iron Man, or are you captivated by the epic team-ups of the Infinity Saga? Share your preferences using the tier list tool below!
With so many films to choose from, it's worth remembering this list encompasses only Kevin Feige's MCU productions, excluding Sony's Marvel ventures (sorry, X-Men, except maybe Wolverine). My personal tier list, reflecting my viewing enjoyment over the years, is shown here:
Simon Cardy's MCU Tier List
Sadly, Brave New World falls short of expectations for me, burdened by what I consider the MCU's most cumbersome script to date, landing it firmly in the D tier. My placement of 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine in the lower tier might surprise some, but it simply didn't resonate with me. (You can find a detailed explanation of my reasoning elsewhere.) However, I don't believe it's the MCU's absolute worst; that dubious honor currently belongs to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, an easy D-tier choice.
Conversely, my top tier showcases five films I deem truly exceptional. Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier easily earn S-tier status for their masterful exploration of the MCU's emotional core and paranoid espionage, respectively. Thor: Ragnarok's comedic brilliance secures its place, alongside Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, which spectacularly concluded the franchise's most crucial chapter.
Disagree? Believe No Way Home surpasses the other Tom Holland Spider-Man films? Think Black Panther deserves an S-tier ranking? Then create your own MCU movie tier list below! Compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the IGN community.
