In the universe of Helldivers 2, a cataclysmic event has sent shockwaves through the galaxy: the abyss of Meridia has devoured Angel’s Venture, erasing it from existence. In the wake of this devastating loss, Arrowhead’s developers have declared an era of interstellar mourning, marking a somber period for all.

The doom of Angel’s Venture was inevitable from the moment the evacuation order was issued. As the final large-scale operation concluded, the colossal, pulsating violet singularity surged forward, obliterating the planet from the stars.

Angel’s Venture was consumed by the relentless grasp of the Meridian Singularity. The Illuminates, long masquerading as enlightened beings, have finally unveiled their true purpose: total annihilation.

The Galactic Map now bears only the scars of Angel’s Venture, with deep fractures serving as a grim testament to the destruction wrought by Illuminate oppression. Even more alarming is that Ivis, New Haven, and even Super Earth itself remain within the deadly grasp of the Meridian Singularity. The fate of the galaxy now rests on the shoulders of Super Earth’s brave warriors, tasked with ending the Illuminate menace, honoring their fallen brothers, and defending their homeworld.

In response to this tragedy, the President of Super Earth has declared 24 hours of planetary mourning, acknowledging the profound impact of this loss on the galaxy.

However, the war against the Illuminates is far from over. The Meridian Singularity continues its relentless advance toward Super Earth, threatening more planets along its path. The upcoming operation is expected to focus on halting the abyss’s advance while countering renewed Illuminate aggression. The hope now lies in this second attempt faring better than the last, as the galaxy holds its breath for the outcome.
