MiHoYo, the Chinese developer behind HoYoVerse, has been busy lately, and their upcoming game, originally titled Astaweave Haven, is getting a makeover. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing significant changes, and hopefully, for the better!
If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you may have heard of Astaweave Haven. While official details from MiHoYo remain scarce, rumors suggest a departure from their usual open-world gacha formula. Instead of another gacha adventure, Astaweave Haven appears to be shaping up as a life-simulation or management game, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This brings us to the exciting news: MiHoYo has rebranded Astaweave Haven as Petit Planet.
The new name is a welcome change. "Petit Planet" sounds charming and subtly hints at the management sim genre, setting it apart from MiHoYo's typical gacha RPGs.
Release Date?
The game's launch date is still under wraps. Astaweave Haven received approval in China for PC and mobile platforms in July. On October 31st, HoYoVerse registered the "Petit Planet" trademark, and it's now awaiting approval in the U.S. and U.K.
Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's track record of rapid releases (remember Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail?), we can hope that once the name is approved, a proper unveiling of Petit Planet will swiftly follow.
