Mika and the Witch\

The enchanting cozy adventure game, Mika and the Witch's Mountain, is set to launch on January 22nd, 2025, across multiple platforms: Nintendo Switch, Steam (PC), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Initially released in early access on August 21st, 2024, the full game promises a complete and heartwarming experience, enhanced with exciting new features and post-launch content.

Drawing inspiration from Studio Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service, players embody Mika, a young witch working as a parcel courier in a charming town nestled at the foot of a magical mountain. The early access version quickly captivated fans of cozy adventures, and now console players can finally embark on Mika's magical journey.

As announced by developers Chibig and Nukefist via Gematsu, the January 22nd release marks the end of early access. The game boasts vibrant visuals, broomstick flight across a mini open world, collectible items, and a captivating story filled with endearing characters. Early access updates introduced popular additions including fishing and mini-games featuring Churros and Kittens, pet companions, expanded language support, cosmetic items, and new achievements. All this, and more, will be part of the full release. Furthermore, a post-launch patch, "Into the Mont Gaun," will introduce dungeon gameplay reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda series.

Console Release Date:

  • January 22nd, 2025

Chibig and Nukefist have declared "Into the Mont Gaun" as the final content update, bringing the game to its intended "completed state" – a vision initially outlined during its 2023 Kickstarter campaign. Already lauded with "Very Positive" Steam reviews, Mika and the Witch's Mountain is a must-have for fans of relaxing titles like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

In a market brimming with cozy games, Mika and the Witch's Mountain stands out with its charming magical atmosphere, offering a refreshing contrast to more action-oriented games such as Hogwarts Legacy. Prepare for a delightful adventure on Switch, PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms this January.
