Monopoly drops a new Valentine’s Day themed update with new house rules and a quiz

Monopoly's Valentine's Day Update: Love is in the Air (and on the Board!)

Get ready for a romantic twist on classic Monopoly! Marmalade Game Studio and Hasbro have released a special Valentine's Day update for their Android and iOS Monopoly game, featuring limited-time content designed to celebrate love in a fun, competitive way.

This update includes a fun quiz that matches you with one of four Monopoly tokens, each representing a different facet of love. After a 24-hour free trial with your matched token, you can purchase it at a discounted rate.

The update also introduces a revamped House Rules mode, offering a faster-paced game experience. New rules include:

  • Quick Hotels: Build hotels with only three houses.
  • Quick End: The game ends after the first bankruptcy.
  • Quick Jail: Escape jail on your first turn.
  • Starting Title Deeds: Begin with three random properties.
  • Skip Spaces: Bypass tax, Chance, and Community Chest spaces.

Adding to the Valentine's Day theme, a new set of Cupid-inspired tokens is available, along with the "Sweethearts" bundle featuring adorable cherub tokens.

Radu Rovin, Head of Studio at Marmalade Game Studio, commented, "We aimed to create an event celebrating diverse expressions of love this Valentine's Day, from friendships formed while playing Monopoly to the simple joy of enjoying a favorite game."
