Monster Hunter Wilds: A Prize Held High Trophy Guide

May 14,2025 Author: Noah

In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, there's more to do than just taking down colossal beasts. If you're aiming to unlock the A Prize Held High trophy or achievement, here's your guide to success.

How To Unlock the A Prize Held High Trophy/Achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds

Despite what the trophy's name might suggest, you won't be battling dragons or wyverns for this one. Your target is the elusive Curioshell Crab, which you can catch using the Capture Net.

Finding these creatures can be tricky as they appear across various maps. The most reliable spot we've found is in the Scarlet Forest. Start from the base camp and head towards Area 6, known as the Flowering Rocks pop-up camp, situated between Areas 2 and 6.

Upon reaching this area, look for a puddle of water nearby. This spot is a prime spawning ground for the Curioshell Crab. If you're having trouble spotting it, Alma can assist you. She'll mention if a creature nearby is holding something, signaling the presence of a Curioshell Crab.

To capture it, equip your Capture Net, aim until the reticle turns orange, and then shoot. A successful capture will net you not only a Curioshell Crab but also an Ancient Wyvern Coin.

Be aware that the Curioshell Crab moves quickly, so anticipate its path and shoot ahead to catch it. Besides the Scarlet Forest, you can also find it in Area 13 of the Windward Plains or Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest. Keep in mind that it might spawn in other areas as well, but these are the locations we've verified.

That covers everything you need to know about unlocking the A Prize Held High trophy or achievement in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and tricks, check out The Escapist.
