At the ID@Xbox Showcase event, fans were treated to an exciting reveal of a new trailer for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, the much-anticipated sequel to the beloved original. The game is set to launch on Xbox Game Pass on its release day, expected before the year's end, ensuring immediate access for subscribers.
Developed by Digital Sun in collaboration with publisher 11 bit studios, Moonlighter 2 is an isometric action-adventure RPG with roguelike elements. Players will take on the role of an entrepreneur, striving to transform a humble shop into a thriving business. To achieve this, they must explore dungeons, collect rare artifacts, and fend off formidable foes.
Digital Sun has promised that Moonlighter 2 builds upon the foundation of the first game with richer narratives and improved gameplay mechanics. The story centers on Will, the protagonist, as he seeks his home dimension within the vast world of Trense. Throughout his adventure, Will reconnects with old allies and forges new friendships. His journey also leads him to encounter a mysterious trader who entrusts him with the mission of locating powerful relics that could lead him back to his origins.
The game's soundtrack is composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, famous for his work on Hollow Knight. Fans can look forward to Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault launching later this year on PC via Steam, Xbox Series, and PS5, offering an immersive experience across multiple platforms.
