Mother Nature: EcoDash, a new endless runner for Android, tackles environmental issues head-on. Developed by BOM (Birmingham Open Media), a UK-based arts organization, this game features a unique collaborative design process. Eleven to eighteen-year-old girls from Powered by CAN, a youth project, significantly contributed to the game's art style and mechanics.
What Sets Mother Nature: EcoDash Apart?
Players embody Mother Nature, a Black female scientist, racing against Smog, a villain intent on escalating pollution. The gameplay involves dodging pollution, collecting air purifiers, and managing a smog meter to avoid being consumed by toxic clouds. Beyond the core running and jumping mechanics, rescue missions add another layer of challenge. Players encounter endangered animals throughout the city and must guide them to the rainforest for release.
BOM's objective was to present complex environmental issues like climate change and air pollution in a fun and accessible manner. The game incorporates power-ups, shields, and bonus items to enhance the experience.
Mother Nature: EcoDash offers a simple yet impactful experience, blending engaging gameplay with a crucial environmental message. Download it from the Google Play Store today!
