Nintendo has just released a new gaming application titled Hello, Mario!. Announced earlier this month, it is now officially available for download on Android, iOS, and Switch. However, there is one catch: the app is currently exclusive to Japan. At least for the time being.
In contrast to Nintendo’s previous titles like Mario Kart Tour or Super Mario Run, Hello, Mario! focuses less on high scores or racing mechanics. Instead, it serves as a playful application designed for parents and children to enjoy together.
Upon launching the app, Mario’s face appears on screen. Tapping and stretching his 3D head resembles interacting with the start menu from Super Mario 64 during the N64 era.
Hello, Mario! operates similarly to an interactive soundboard. Users can unlock new interactive elements by poking or dragging Mario’s face, earning rewards through his classic vocal responses.

Nintendo Introduces Hello, It’s Me, Mario! ------------------------------------This application marks the debut of Nintendo’s new My Mario product line. Its goal is to connect young gamers discovering games for the first time with parents introducing them to the Mushroom Kingdom.
Alongside the app, Nintendo has introduced two wooden block sets and a Hello, Mario! board book. While the digital app remains Japan-exclusive for now, the physical My Mario products will launch internationally in early 2026.
Nintendo has not yet announced when the app will expand to other regions. If you are currently in Japan, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
