LEGO and Nintendo have teamed up to produce some fantastic LEGO Nintendo sets. Last year saw the release of the interactive Mario and Yoshi set, and the first-ever LEGO Legend of Zelda set. However, many other iconic Nintendo franchises remain untapped.

Currently, the selection leans heavily towards various Mario sets (including Donkey Kong) and several Animal Crossing sets. This leaves many fans, myself included, yearning for more. Which Nintendo franchise deserves the LEGO treatment next?

The upcoming Switch 2 and Nintendo's continued investment in film and gaming (the new Mario movie and the eventual live-action Zelda adaptation) suggest a strong likelihood of future LEGO Nintendo sets. What franchises might we see in 2025 and beyond? Share your predictions in the comments!

Personally, I believe Metroid holds the most potential. With Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon, it's the ideal time for some impressive LEGO builds. Additionally, I'd love to see official LEGO Pokémon sets, beyond the existing MEGA sets, though licensing agreements may present a challenge.
