The possibility of Marvel Rivals launching on the Nintendo Switch 2, once considered impossible, now appears increasingly likely. While NetEase previously dismissed a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations, the upcoming console could alter the situation significantly.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu confirmed ongoing discussions with Nintendo. The primary challenge remains ensuring consistent, high-quality performance on the new hardware:
"The original Switch lacked the processing power needed for the gameplay experience we envisioned. However, if the Switch 2 proves capable, we're prepared to bring the game to the platform."

Following the official Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, major game publishers are expressing strong interest in the platform. Phil Spencer indicated Xbox's intention to bring its games to the system, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also shown its support.
Marvel Rivals itself is set for further expansion, with the anticipated addition of two Fantastic Four members in future updates.
