Nintendo's Latest Announcement: Alarmo's Wider Release
More Than Just an Alarm Clock

Forget the Switch 2 rumors for a moment (though we understand the excitement!). Nintendo's interactive alarm clock, Alarmo, is taking center stage. Its expanded release in March 2025 was announced via Twitter (X), bringing this fun gadget to a wider audience.
Get ready to find Alarmo on the shelves of Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other participating retailers. The best part? No Nintendo Online membership is required for purchase this time around! Alarmo will be available for $99.99 USD.

While many celebrate this news, the anticipation for the Switch 2 remains high. Nintendo, however, remains quiet on the subject.
Instant Hit: Alarmo's Initial Success

Alarmo's popularity exploded after its October 9, 2024 announcement. Demand was so high that Nintendo temporarily suspended sales in Japan, switching to a lottery system for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. A similar situation occurred in New York City, where the initial stock sold out quickly.
"We have received a large number of orders for the Nintendo Sound Clock Alarmo… so we are currently suspending sales… We are currently preparing to change the sales method… to a lottery sale for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers… We apologize for the inconvenience… We will continue to produce the products…"
Wake Up to Fun: Alarmo's Features

Alarmo isn't your average alarm clock. Featuring delightful sound effects from beloved Nintendo games like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3, it offers 42 selectable scenes (with more to come via free updates!).
Choose your scene, and watch as a game character patiently waits on the screen. When the alarm sounds, the character wakes up, playing a gentle melody. A visitor then arrives, and you can gently wave or move to quiet the alarm. If you linger too long, a more "persuasive" visitor appears, and the alarm intensifies! The motion sensor allows you to silence the alarm without even touching the clock.

Beyond the fun wake-up calls, Alarmo offers hourly chimes, sleep sounds, and sleep pattern tracking. For those sharing a bed with others or pets, the Button Mode is highly recommended. Remember, while initially requiring a Nintendo Online membership, this requirement is lifted with the wider release in March 2025.
